Off-Island Duty-Free Shopping Reaches Nearly ¥5B
Between December 18th, 2025 and January 17th, 2026, total off-island duty-free sales reached 4.86 billion yuan, marking a 46.8% year-on-year increase. The policy adjustments, which expanded duty-free categories from 45 to 47 and extended benefits to travelers departing the Hainan, attracted 745,000 shoppers (up 30.2%) and resulted in nearly 3.5 million items sold (up 14.6%). #HainanFTP #SpecialCustomsOperations #dutyfree
