Hainan's Food Exports Surge Over 40% in First Seven Months

Hainan enterprises exported 3.833 billion yuan worth of food products in the first seven months of this year, up 41.5% year-on-year. Yangpu Bonded Port Area has rolled out smarter supervision rules, facilitating the quick release of 847,300 tons of food worth 6.746 billion yuan, cutting warehousing and logistics costs by 67 percent and shortening clearance procedures by 70 percent. The Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone has pioneered new temporary import and application solutions for special food items, allowing 18 products to debut in the Chinese market.
