South China's Hainan accelerates efforts to build a clean energy island

By the end of 2025, China Huaneng's total installed power generation capacity in Hainan Province stood at 5.43 million kilowatts, more than double that of the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period. The proportion of clean-energy installed capacity exceeded 62%, ensuring about one-third of the province's total dispatch power. The Lingshui offshore wind farm contributed approximately 1.6 billion kilowatt-hours of green power and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by roughly 1.3 million tons.
