Heavy rain continued across northeastern Hainan Island on October 9th, with Wanning and Qiongzhong issuing red alerts for rainstorms. Authorities are strengthening weather monitoring and taking preventive measures to protect lives and property. According to the Hainan Meteorological Observatory, heavy to torrential rain fell in parts of eastern Hainan Island over the past 24 hours, with Wanning recording the highest accumulated rainfall at 210.1 millimeters.
