Hainan’s service sector to remain around 61% of GDP by 2030

Over the past five years, Hainan has continued to refine its industrial structure and build stronger foundations for an open economy. Its goods trade has crossed two successive 100-billion-USD thresholds, posting an average annual growth of 24.1%. Investors from 180 countries and regions have poured capital into the province. According to Hainan’s 15th Five-Year Plan for Service-Sector Development, the province’s service industries will make up roughly 61% of its GDP by 2030.
